I had such an absolute blast at Worldcon 2025! I got to meet so many people I'd only talked to online. I did... a little too much. I was volunteer staff, participant, panelist, artist-- My feet hurt _so_ bad by the time I got home. Blisters, nerve damage, the whole shebang. ![[1000014237.jpg|300]] But it was amazing. The first con I've been to where I actually felt... I dunno. There. Personalized. Associated. AND MY ART GOT A RIBBON! LOOK AT MY RIBBON! 3RD PLACE JUDGE'S PICK FOR JEWELRY! And I sold enough art to pay for my ticket out there! BIG WIN! ![[20250816_083808.jpg|300]] I met my favorite writer Rich Larson! I'm not comfy with pictures online, but I had him recreate this Mulan reference pose with me for my personal camera roll. (Me in blue, of course. I made him put his sunglasses on so he would look as aloof as possible.) ![[vod33MY3-8-Z7n1YwtNo9QFdpWeTldLF4E7lnte8V1g.webp]] He gets special mention, but I met so many amazing and cool artists and writers. Too many to personalize, so I'll list them here so if you're curious about who you should DEFINITELY check out if you get the chance: Jon Ficke, Jeremy Tegrotenhuis, Guan Un, Rhiannon Rasmussen, Jordan Kurella, Somto Ihezue, Lauren Ring. Jo Miles and soooo so many more. I'll try to update as I remember.
